The park still hasnt opened those last two HRP coasters but seem to be waiting for the completion of another coaster before opening phase 2.

Some brand new Vekoma SLC track has just shown up on site.

This park has been put in operation for over a year already. There are about 19 rides are opening include Iron horse and Hang ten (from HRP) and some brand new rides like Maxi Dance Party 360 (Visa SBF), 47 meters freefall tower (Visa SBF). The SLC will be completed in December this year and will release in January, 2017. Source

Correct although it doesn't contradict the quote.

Phase 1 has been open for over a year. This includes the Vekoma roller skater and Mine trains from HRP.

They still haven't opened the two Premier coasters are still not open and won't open until Phase 2 opens.

Theres a list of the currently open rides on the parks official site.

Premier is one of my favorite coaster companies because of their innovations and creative coaster layouts, so it has always puzzled me why they designed Maximum RPM with a cool lift and first drop, followed by the most bland layout of nearly any coaster anywhere.

I've heard these new SLC's are a lot better than their 1990's counterparts. A large part of that is the new trains, but also there are some minor structural differences in the two. Using Energylandia's SLC wich opened in 2015 as an example, some of the supports are re-done as I've seen side by side comparisons to original SLC's, and it makes you wonder if track profiling might be slightly different, after all they have had 23 years to work with this design. I'm by no means suggesting it's B&M smooth, but it is re-rideable with comfortable restraints from what I've heard. Obviously at the end of the day there are some fundamental design problems in the track that prevent it from being "B&M smooth" no matter how much tweaking you do, so excited to see the next gen Vekoma SLC's if this is truly the last using their "original" track.

Time for a bit of an update and a refresh for this thread as the park is now installing 2 new Intamin Coasters replacing the two Premier ones from Hard Rock Park.

If you already know the histor

First up Sun World Da Nang Wonders is the new name for what was Asia Park. Located in the city of Da Nang in Vietnam this park arrived into the enthusiast consciousness when they bought almost all the old coasters from the failed Hard Rock Park/Freesyle Music Park in the USA. For the purposes of this post I'm going to refer to them using their (better) Hard Rock Park names

Led Zeppelin headed to another Sun World resort in Ha Long Bay while this park installed the mine train and the roller skater first and then after being open for a while went about installing the two Premier ride installations from Hard Rock. The first was the unique ferris wheel coaster Maximum RPM! which the park repainted called Paradise Falls.

They also installed Slippery When Wet the old Premier Single Rail Coaster and called it Highway Boat.

As far as anyone can tell the park never got these rides open. Despite a full on electrical reworking of Paradise Falls the rides never ran for the public. In the mean time the park bought, built and opened Queen Cobra a brand new Vekoma SLC. However around March last year it seemed the park had given up and removed both of the Premier rides.

Quite what became of them I have no idea but by June only footers were left for both of the Premier coasters as can be seen here. (Paradise Falls was bottom left and Highway Boat was halfway between that and Queen Cobra at the back)

Then word came through that Intamin had been hired to replace both coasters for the 2018 season. And the Intamin Reference list released in January this year pretty much confirmed the park would be receiving a Family Launched Coaster and a Vertical Lift Suspended Coaster.

Now come the start of February it seems the first Intamin is now in. The Family Launched Coaster has taken the place of Paradise Falls and interestingly uses most of the footers left behind by the Premier ride. The top down layout is essentially identical but with complete changes to the track profile and shaping.

As of yet there is no sign of the Intamin vertical lift suspended coaster but I imagine it will follow a similar plan, Using the old footers of Highway Boat but radically altering the layout. And with Highway Boat there's quite a lot of scope for that.

Everyone follow that? Any Questions? No? good..... phew.

Disappointing that those Premier coasters failed, but Intamin replacements seem like a good trade. Also, I was afraid I was out of the loop (lol pun), but judging by the above post, perhaps not so much:

Intamin vertical lift suspended coaster

Just from the Intamin reference list

I suspect it will be similar to the old Hard Rock Park Slippery When Wet it replaces. By that I mean it will be a vertical elevator style lift like Divertical rather than a vertical lift like Fahrenheit. But that's just an assumption.

Was looking at RCDB, and surprised this hasn't been talked about recently.

The family launch coaster is nowhere to be found on RCDB, so either it hasn't been updated or they canceled that plan.

On the other hand, the suspended coaster has been built, still being called Highway Boat, take a look! https://rcdb.com/15215.htm
